The Story Of Anne Bonny
Anne Bonny takes her name from one of history’s most famous pirates, the fearless Irishwoman who sailed the Caribbean alongside the legendary Calico Jack Rackham in the early 1700s. Known for her bold spirit and refusal to follow the rules of her time, Anne Bonny became a symbol of freedom, adventure and life lived on the open sea.
Inspired by that same spirit of exploration, the yacht Anne Bonny was handcrafted on the beaches of Sulawesi by skilled Bugis boatbuilders, blending centuries-old Phinisi shipbuilding traditions with modern design and engineering. Launched in 2015 and developed by European yacht designers working alongside Indonesian craftsmen, she was created as an elegant expedition platform for small private groups exploring Indonesia’s remote islands.
At 30 metres in length, Anne Bonny combines the graceful lines of a traditional sailing schooner with the comfort and reliability expected of a modern charter yacht. With just three cabins and a professional crew, she offers an intimate way to explore the Coral Triangle — sailing through Raja Ampat’s limestone lagoons, diving the reefs of Komodo, or anchoring in hidden bays far from the crowds.
More than just a yacht, Anne Bonny was built for private adventures at sea — a place where families, friends and explorers can chart their own course through one of the most spectacular archipelagos on Earth.
