Enriched Air (Nitrox) – PADI Certification
Dive Longer. Recover Faster. Explore Deeper
Want more bottom time and shorter surface intervals?
The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) course is the most popular specialty certification in the world — and for good reason.
Learning Nitrox aboard Calico Jack or Anne Bonny means you’ll gain practical experience diving with enriched air in the best possible classroom: the coral-rich waters of Raja Ampat, Komodo, or the Banda Sea.
Who It’s For
- Certified divers (PADI Open Water or equivalent)
- Divers joining Calico Jack or Anne Bonny expeditions
- Anyone looking to extend their dive times and reduce nitrogen exposure
- Photographers or advanced divers who do multiple dives per day
The Nitrox course is ideal for liveaboard divers who want to make the most of every dive without rushing to the surface.
What’s You’ll Learn
You’ll learn how to safely plan, analyze, and execute dives using air blends of up to 40% oxygen, covering:
- How Nitrox reduces nitrogen loading and fatigue
- How to analyze tank oxygen content
- Setting your dive computer for enriched air
- Managing maximum operating depth and exposure limits
Course Duration: 1 day
Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
You’ll complete the theory and analysis sessions onboard, followed by practical enriched air dives during your charter — so you can immediately apply what you’ve learned.
Certification
After completing the course, you’ll earn your PADI Enriched Air Diver Certification, allowing you to dive with Nitrox blends up to 40% anywhere in the world.
This certification also counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating and is often paired with the Advanced Open Water course for divers seeking to upskill during their trip.

The Nitrox course is available onboard both Calico Jack and Anne Bonny, depending on itinerary and trip type:
