Our guest from Czeck Republic, Underwater Photographer, and passionate diver Kristina Vackova joined Calico Jack Liveaboard Christmas Dive Trip in 2016 for the first time. Now she became a good friend and frequent visitor on board Calico Jack Liveaboard.

Here are her impressions from the very first trip with Calico Jack and some of the photos. More amazing photos from the trip you can find at her website https://www.kristinavackovaphoto.com/raja-ampat-liveaboard

“Raja Ampat. Another dream became true this year, and I spent 12 days on the liveaboard in Indonesia, my second (or third)  home, which I just left last May.

I and a friend of mine booked the boat Calico Jack and spent on this pirate ship, owned by cool Australian, amazing time around all Raja Ampat. Our cruise started at Sorong, went down around Papua to Southern Raja Ampat and back to the North.

The time we spent on the boat was amazing. Dives were awesome, very different people from all around the world were part of the challenging almost two weeks of diving this place.

Except for diving, we made few excursions around, land trips, hikes and barbecue on the beach. The trip was done in the raining season, so we had a very wet time mostly, but beauty and amazing underwater life in this part of Indonesia made this trip unforgettable.

Dives were usually hard to decide if to set up the camera for wide-angle or macro, as each dive site had both. Incredible sea fans surrounded by glasses, sharks, wobbegongs, mantas, school of fishes everywhere, and empty clean beaches were the most frequented scenery of these days.

Calico Jack was a great choice.”
