We were quite honestly blown away by our experience. The whole trip was very well organized and executed, and each and every member of your staff were exemplary. The small touches you added with the fresh coffee, bean bags, excursions and complimentary soft drinks on board were just the icing on the cake.

Calico Jack is a wonderful Indonesian wooden ship and we had a great adventure. The diving was exceptional and well planned. Food was good and amazing to see such gourmet delights coming from such a small kitchen.

Ten stars!!! Everything about the vessel, the crew, the service, the food and diving was amazing and top notch!! We knew that diving with whale sharks, manta rays and seeing the gorgeous pristine corals would be incredible, but were delighted that the Calico Jack and crew lived up to the rave reviews. The crew was always cheerful and took care of our every need, and made us feel like family.

We stayed at Calico Jack at one of the Raja Ampat. This liveaboard is absolutely fantastic! You can’t find a better boat. The crew is amazing. They are not only friendly and very professional, but they also contribute to good energy on the boat with many laughs and jokes. The chef is absolutely great, every day we were served fantastic meals both for lunch and dinner and the service was excellent. Dinner was always a three meal course.

Brilliant trip. The boat is magnificent, really well thought out, very clean and well maintained. The crew couldn’t possibly be more helpful and the food is good. We did the Komodo trip and the Diving was always good, the reefs are in really good condition and full of life. We really felt that the emphasis was on giving you a good experience rather than just making money.

We booked 12 days/11 nights on the calico jack as the original plan was to cover all of raja empat (south, central, north) but due to bad weather forecast in the south, and the very north, we were not able to go to misool (south) or wayag (north). jamie – one of the owners, as well on board – changed the itinerary to keep the trip safe and ensured diving on every single day.

What an adventure it was to join this trip! If you want something unique, different than your usual liveaboards, then you need to experience what Adam and his crew have to offer. They make sure you feel at home with their sincerity and quick responses to whatever you need. The same approach continues underwater; their attention to detail, safety, and funfilled dives made our New Year trip memorable.

We got back home 2 days ago after spending a few days in Jogjakarta and then in Delhi. Now we need another holiday to recover from this one! Can’t believe that the trip is over – or even that it actually happened – it seems like a dream! We would like to thank you for a really fantastic experience aboard Calico Jack. Everything was perfect – except the weather and the visibility, which were out of your control.

Went on a 9 day trip through North Raja Ampat over New Year’s 2017-2018. Adam and Julie were great. Indonesian staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Boat had charm. Food was good. Raja Ampat is stunning. Price seemed very fair.

We spent a fantastic week in Raja Ampat on Calico Jack with Adam and Julie. Thank you to both of you for your attention and friendliness. The boat is amazing and very comfortable, with enough room for ten people.

My wife and I did the Komodo trip with Adam last August/September – it was fantastic. Adam was an amazing host – nothing was too much trouble and he spent a lot of time with us chatting about the trip, the dives, about the Komodo islands and the boat – we loved the information and his genuine desire to ensure that we enjoyed as many activities as we wanted. 

Absolutely Amazing Live aboard experience; What a boat! The Calico Jack crew were outstanding on both trips first to to Raja Ampat 2014, and the Komodos in 2015. The diving is spectacular with pristine marine environments, Yes, just like the photos! The dive equipment was well maintained and the dive briefings informed us what to look out for at each site.

12 Day Family Charter…Best Trip of our Lives. I took my whole extended family on this yacht and we truly enjoyed Raja Ampat. But even better was the 100′ boat itself–so well laid out, clean, perfectly maintained, gorgeous wood Phinisi, and a crew that pampered us every step of the way. We ranged in ages from 4 years old to 75 years old.

We dived Misool and the North in December 2018. I have been diving for over 30 years and this was undoubtedly the best diving I have experienced. Visibility was not fantastic, but this did bring the big fish close to the dive sites: mantas, huge trevally, black tips and barracuda etc. I was amazed by the huge gorgonians and the incredible abundance of marine life.

Le bateau est très bien équipé pour les 10 plongeurs que nous sommes à chaque croisière. Le meilleur endroit pour plonger du monde à mon avis. Très bonne organisation.
